The daisy, flower also found all over Myanmar, symbolizes the beginning of each day, which is illustrated in the daisy closing its petals in the evening, and the first to open at dawn to greet the day. It is a symbol of rejuvenation and new beginnings.

According to Greek Mythology, Eos was a Titaness and  the goddess of dawn, rising each day from the edge of Oceanus to greet her brother Helios (the sun).
